French curls are a type of weight training exercise. Start with the weight overhead. Slowly lower the weight backwards to behind the head. Lift the weight back above the head using the triceps (backs of the arms). As with all weight training movements, it is important to keep the weight under smooth control on both the way down and the way up. This exercise can be performed standing, sitting or lying on your back.
